Pricing & Services — FAQ

1. What’s the difference between Financial Planning and Investment Management?
Financial Planning provides ongoing guidance, strategy development, and annual reviews focused on your entire financial life — cash flow, retirement planning, taxes, insurance, and more.
Investment Management is focused specifically on managing your portfolio, asset allocation, and investment strategy.
Many clients choose both, but you can select either service based on your needs.

2. How does your monthly financial planning fee work?
Our planning fee can be paid monthly, quarterly, or annually. The first year includes three initial planning meetings and multiple hours of preparation from our CFP® team. After that, you receive annual review meetings plus ongoing access for questions throughout the year.

3. Do I need a minimum amount of assets to work with you?
Yes. Investment Management requires a minimum of $25,000 in assets.
Financial Planning and other services (tax and estate planning)Q4,Q5 have no asset minimums, making them accessible for clients at any stage.

4. Is tax advice included in financial planning or investment management?
Tax analysis and strategies are available through Holistiplan for an additional charge, in addition to other financial planning services.
General tax strategy guidance for investing is included in planning conversations, but we coordinate with your tax professional for implementation.

5. Can you help create estate planning documents?
Yes, in coordination with estate planning attorneys, clients can create estate planning documents (wills, trusts, POA, directives). We provide guidance and a navigation while working with the attorney.

6. Do you offer one-time planning or hourly support?
Yes — after your initial planning process, additional work can be done at $300 per hour.
Some clients use this for stand-alone projects such as Social Security planning, Roth Conversions college planning, insurance review, or retirement income strategy.

7. How do I know which service level is right for me?
If you want ongoing, holistic guidance across all areas of your financial life, Financial Planning is typically the best fit.
If your primary need is professional portfolio management, Investment Management is appropriate.
If you need help with tax or estate planning, those services can be added individually.

8. Are commissions ever used in your practice?
Only when appropriate — such as certain life insurance or annuity products that support a client’s broader plan or when asset minimums are not met. We disclose costs clearly and discuss options before recommending any commission-based solutions.
